Agriculture and forestry sector plays a vital role in our lives and economics. It supplies us and many other countries with a variety of food products non-food products. Agriculture and forestry remains one of the larger industries in terms of employment. Advanced technology continues to enable us to produce more of agriculture products with fewer workers. Agriculture and forestry includes crop and animal production; former includes farms that grows crops used fro food and fiber, latter includes farms and ranches that raise animals for products. In agriculture industry, crop production includes the growing of grains like wheat, corn; field crops like cotton and tobacco, fruits and vegetables and horticulture productivity such as flowers and ornamental plants. Agricultural production covers establishments that engaged in the production of crops and plants and includes soil preparation services, landscape and horticultural services, farm labor and management services. Forestry covers establishments that engaged in the operation of timber tracts and forest nurseries. Fishing and hunting are also major part of agriculture and forest industry.
Agricultural farmers raise fish in salt and fresh water according to the requirement of the particular species. Farms use ponds, floating nets and recirculation system but larger fish farm are actually in the sea. Workers employed in the forestry industry harvest timber on a long production cycle and they remove diseases and damaged trees from forest land as well as brush and debris that may cause a fire hazard. Agricultural and forestry sector is being transformed by implementation of science and technology in almost every agricultural process. The use of modern equipment has changed the way of ranching. Marketing is becoming more important in agriculture and forestry.

Forestry includes the development of better methods of planting, protecting, controlled burning, extracting and processing of timber. Forest industry has the social and ecological importance and foresters are specialists in measuring and growth of the forests. Forest is vast and valuable expenses, forestry may be employed by industry, government agencies, urban parks boards and private landowners.
